Our Story
Hot Stuff Studios is a queer-owned creative studio founded by artists Trin and Dru Alexander-Cowan. What began as a shared creative practice while living in Oakland, California has grown into a mobile studio focused on bringing people together through art.

In 2022, Hot Stuff Studios launched as a brick-and-mortar pop-up shop and event space in Berkeley, Californa. There is where we began hosting art workshops and other fun events for our community. When that chapter ended, we leaned into a new phase: designing art-forward experiences that travel to where people gather. Today, we create mobile creative activations that spark connection, encourage participation, and leave people feeling proud of what they’ve made.

Now based in New Orleans, we serve the Greater New Orleans area with thoughtfully produced workshops and group experiences. Trin and Dru are artists in their own right, with years of experience in event planning, facilitation, and production. We manage each event end-to-end, bringing all materials on-site and guiding participants through the experience with an encouraging, approachable facilitation style.
