Our first signature event in New Orleans is an astrological paint + sip

While Hot Stuff Studios is not new to producing events and workshops of our own, we are excited to announce our first monthly event series in New Orleans. AstroPaint is an astrology-themed paint and sip happening 3rd Thursdays at The Howlin Wolf.

Why this theme?

We always strive to produce events that stand out from the other creative offerings out there, and this theme is our way of putting a new spin on a popular topic. Plus, we love talking about astrology!

Whether you're a horoscope newbie or seasoned astrologer, we welcome you to join us.

AstroPaint is more than a painting workshop. More than a trivia night. It's a celebration. AstroPaint is a thoughtfully designed experience that provides both a creative reset and an entertaining experience. We're bringing people together around making art, from old friends to new!

Freeform Painting?

Like the dozens of paint + sip events that Hot Stuff Studios has produced, AstroPaint is a freeform paint session. So no, we will not all paint the same bridge or floral arrangement. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's never been our thing.

Instead, we'll give you a prompt at the beginning of each event related to the themes of the night. You can use that prompt (or not) to create a painting with colors, symbols, and more that are personal to you. If you need some extra instruction, our team will be floating the room all evening to provide technical guidance.

You don't need to know what you're going to create when you arrive. You just need to come ready to create!

Want some extra insight? Arrive early and sign up for a tarot reading (available onsite, first come, first served) to get some personalized guidance. Then, fold elements of the tarot reading into your painting as you feel called.

And What About Trivia?

One of the things we're most excited about is bringing some astro-trivia to each event! It's not going to be a full 30-question, hour-long game like standalone trivia nights you see. Instead, we'll be infusing some trivia questions throughout the evening, with the challenge (and prizes) getting bigger as the night goes on.

Brush up on your knowledge on the planets, houses, and signs to win! Prizes will change each month, but you can expect things like drink tickets, original artwork, tarot readings and more. (If you'd like to donate a product or service for a trivia prize, contact us!)

Okay, what else?

If that's not enough, we've got a few other tricks up our sleeve to really bring it all together.

Whether it's a date night, girls night out, or just another Thursday, AstroPaint is the place to be to celebrate all of your recent milestones.

That said, we're playing into the astrology theme with a new ticket special each month:

BOGO $5 admission for anyone celebrating a birthday. I.E. for our Cancer Szn event on July 16th, everyone with a Cancer birthday (June 21 to July 22) gets $5 admission when they bring a friend. Same goes for Leo Szn and Virgo Szn (and hopefully many more seasons beyond).
