A few months ago, Hot Stuff Studios silently added a new activity to our rotation. If you've been following us on Instagram, you may have already seen it. In collaboration with Lunime Flux, we now offer DIY patch bars experiences for parties and events!

Have your guests decorate their own merch just how they like it. We bring your choice of blank t-shirts, tote bags, or hats, plus an assortment of patches to mix and match. Patches can be branded for a corporate event or designed to match your party's theme.
The Power of the Patch

Embroidered patches have been around for a long time as both a functional and creative addition to clothing. They're a great way to cover up damage and holes. They're added to uniforms to signify names, titles, and rank. And in counter-culture movements, they're used to signify identify and affiliation.
While patches are still worn for all of those reasons, they can also be a fun or detailed embellishment for your wardrobe. They can tell stories about your interests to attract people who also like your favorite cartoon. Or how you spent time in New Orleans.
Make a Patch Station your own

No matter what your theme, we can bring a patch station that reflects your gathering. We have a limited selection of theme packs designed at this point, and we are creating new patch bundles for each event as theme requests arise.
Our Current Pack Options Include:
NOLA Icons: Perfect for your association conference as a local keepsake, select from a streetcar, Mardi Gras mask, saxophones, or the a fleur de lis.

Social Justice: Originally designed for a legal center's staff retreat, these patches have messages you can get behind. Stand up for human rights causes with patches about voting, pride, Black Lives Matter, and abolishing ICE.
And our pack options expand with every workshop we host. If you want a western theme, flower theme, astrology theme, drag theme, whatever, we can make that happen for you.
Branding Optional
If you're hosting a professional event, you have the option to get patches made of your logo, event icon, or other brand assets. Design file must be provided and you will get to sign off on a proof before production.
About our manufacturer
All patches are made by a small-batch company, Lunime Flux, based in Thibodaux, Louisiana. The owner and maker, Denise, is actually the mom of our co-founder, Dru! So not only are we keeping it local and woman-owned, but sharing this work with family. Denise has been running Lunime Flux for 2 years, and is all about celebrating people's hobbies, unique interests, and identity. If you're looking for patches for yourself, without the event activity station, check out her shop.
Adding a Patch Bar to your Event

A DIY patch bar is a great addition to many events. What's great about it is that it doesn't require a lot of instruction, so it can be a quick activity that guests pop into for 5-10 minutes. They can accommodate 10 people or 1,000 people, depending on your event size and budget.
Hire us for just the patch bar or add it on to another workshop, like block printing for a larger creative experience. By the end, your guests will have a finished, ready-to-wear piece with their selections.
The planning process:
Reach out to us with details about your event date and request
We'll give you a call to learn more about your event and custom build a package for you
You can select patches from one of our themed packs (New Orleans or Social Justice) OR you can request design mockups for a different theme OR you can give us brand assets to turn into patches
We'll put together a proposal with mockups of your patch collection and pricing
If you like it, we'll send you an invoice to pay and all you have to do from there is let us into the space on event day for setup!
Contact us to get started and build your custom creative event package. Rates for Patch Bars start at $500 and can be flexibly priced as group sizes grow to match your budget.
