We are super excited to announce our first collaboration with a local brand, Field Day Oakland!
About Field Day
Field Day is a small boutique making ethical, sustainable, + local goods accessible in Oakland. They've been around since 2013 and everything they carry is made in the USA, mostly in the Bay Area where both our brands are. Field Day didn't start as a store though. They started with the Oakland-made brand Field Day Apparel, and though the apparel brand and boutique are now run separately, you can find their full line in the store.
Aside from clothing, Field Day Oakland offer apothecary, skin care, cards, home goods, gifts, and now You Are Hot Stuff earrings!
The You Are Hot Stuff Field Day Collection
We reached out to Field Day at the beginning of the year to get some of our products listed in store. How exciting it was when their owner, Hana, asked if I could design a custom collection of clay earrings for the Field Day Brand!
After some consultation and back-and-forth, we settled on a line of 5 earrings and 1 sunglasses/mask chain that represents the ethos of their brand. Using the brand colors, logo, and their iconic poppy iconography.
The process of designing this earrings really opened up doors to new clay techniques. It was a challenge to create matching colors and encapsulate someone else's brand, but we're so happy with how the final pieces came out!
